The Pupils

Interviews with pupils at Kennedy Secondary School, 26th July.

We spoke to five 17 and 18 year old girls who are boarders at Kennedy Secondary School.  Sophie Halumu, Margreth Isaya, Fridah Kobusinge, Judith Aimamani and Patience Clare were all very enthusiastic about the conservation projects that run at their school.  Having just seen CSWCT’s educational outreach and DVD, they were keen to tell us some of the things they’d learnt, including listing all the great apes.  They are all members of the school’s  Geography and Wildlife Club and took us around the school grounds to show us the botanical garden, where each pupil plants a tree on joining the school, and the vegetable garden, where they were able to point out individual plants and explain to us what they were and why they were useful.
