There was a group of about 30 children that arrived this morning for a weekly education program put on by Kakamega. These children ranged in age from 3 to 10 years. They started off in the KEEP (Kakamega Environmental Education Program) education center where they learned about a few of the species within the Kakamega rainforest. After the lesson we went on a short tour through the rainforest where we learned more about a few species of trees and their uses. We went to the top of the viewing tower to look at the canopy of the rainforest, and then headed back to the education center where the tour ended.
