I am currently sat, once again, at my laptop – in Africa. The exact location is a rather remote campsite in Klip Kop, South Africa, and I am here in order to begin the years final Handshake expedition. I returned to England after the Uganda expedition and spent a grand total of five full days in the country before, again, heading to the airport to travel back to the beautiful African continent. It was a somewhat spontaneous decision, booking my flights just six days prior to departure, but now I’m here and have memorised all the names of the new expedition members I feel ready to embrace my varying roles (involving video production, web design and some collaborative journalism with George) and to begin another month-long African adventure.

Ah, I’m very jealous Nicola. I hope that the South Africa trip rocks…almost as much as the Ugandan one. I say almost because the Ugandan team were too awesome for words and I don’t think you should even try to come close to beating my film with its AMAZING voice over. Who needs extra interviews when you can have me and my telephone voice? However much I envy you though, I am loving my conventional oven and sofa.
‘Hope the antibac and toilet paper are plentiful and the bugs to a minimum’-it’s my newly invented handshake blessing.
