Baboons at Knowsley Safari Park (UK) turn to potatoes to keep warm

The chilling arctic weather front currently moving across the UK is of concern to zoos and safari parks – some turning to the offer of hot potatoes as a method to keeping their resident primate populations warm.

    It doesnt seem quite right to see Primates in the snow.
    I should think they do feed them hot potatoes. I hope they are all alright.
    Here in Staffordshire we too have a Monkey Forest. It is at Trentham just a few miles from here.
    I looked at their webpage. Dont know how to forward it to you Alasdair. Have a look yourself. Monkey Forest at Trentham, Staffordshire.
    Maybe you could enquire of them if their Primates are coping O.K.
