On Friday 17th February 2012, Alasdair Davies, the Great Primate Handshake’s co-director, and web developer at The Zoological Society of London, will give a presentation at The 2nd Citizen Cyberscience Summit.
Alasdair’s presentation will focus on The Zoological Society of London’s Instant WILD app. Instant WILD is a unique concept that uses ‘citizen science’ to help field researchers. By sending camera trap photos from unexplored and remote habitats to iPhones in real time, the app allows users to help with the identification of species captured in the photos, saving days of conservationists’ time.
To find out more, watch Alasdair’s presentation, which will begin at 11.45am, on the Summit’s live video feed:
Instand WILD can be downloaded FREE from iTunes, and is online at http://www.edgeofexistence.org/instantwild/.
